Four new starters at Drummond Central means four extra people joining the queue at our much-loved coffee machine. Who are these newbies forcing us to wait an extra 36.7 seconds for our lattes? And what are their go-to dance moves? To find out all of this and more, we posed a few questions to the latest additions to the DC team…

Kate is our almost brand-new Account Executive. She’s already been wowing clients for two months and joins us from a Leeds marketing agency.

What are you most looking forward to about working at DC?

I’m looking forward to learning from all the incredibly creative minds here, meeting friendly faces and getting stuck in with exciting projects!

What is your go-to dance move?

My go-to dance move has to be the worm.

What’s the first gig you ever went to?

My first gig was the Guides Big Gig, which included lots of different bands such as Scouting for Girls, La Roux and The Script. I had the best time because we were front row, and I even got a cheeky wave from one of the Sugarbabes!

Josh has been with us for nearly a month and he’s already smashing it. He’s joined DC from an in-house production role at one of the UK’s largest holiday park companies.

What are you most looking forward to about working at DC?

I'd say the thing I'm looking forward to most is working in a place that has DC's ambition - from what I've seen so far I've clearly joined the business at a really exciting time, and I feel privileged to be a part of it.

If you had to choose a famous person to narrate the story of your life, who would you pick?

Easy - it would have to be the Big Yin himself, Billy Connolly.

What’s the most ridiculous fact you know?

In the time it takes The Proclaimers to perform their seminal hit 'I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)', the International Space Station quite literally travels 500 miles, then 500 more.

Liz is our shiny new Operations Coordinator and brings a wealth of experience from her background as a Senior Admin Officer in education. She’ll provide day-to-day office support and operations that keeps DC running smoothly.

What are you most looking forward to about working at DC?

Great, amazing, fun and lovely people, and the smashing atmosphere. To be able to bring my contribution to be part of the Drummond Central Team.

Tell us something that is most surprising about you.

I can have strange concoctions of putting foods together, and I can be known to put tomato sauce on nearly most things - sometimes I don’t, depending on where I go to eat.

When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

When I was a child I wanted to be a nurse until I realised a little down the line I am squeamish, then it was a vet until I realised I couldn't put animals down and would make me too upset to do so. Stopped thinking about others after this as I knew I would change my mind again probably haha.

Alexis has joined the planning department to work across all of our clients and comes to us from a digital marketing agency in Edinburgh specialising in luxury hospitality.

What are you most looking forward to about working at DC?

Working with, and learning from, some amazingly talented and creative people. Also excited to learn more about different areas of advertising after working in a mostly online advertising-focused role.

What is the most recent fact you learned that surprised you?

Not a fact, but I went to Glastonbury Festival for the first time this summer. Nothing could have prepared me for the energy, vibrancy, quirkiness, and the sheer size and volume!

What’s the best fancy dress costume you’ve ever worn?

An idiot sandwich.
