Putting Our People First

We’re proud to have been awarded the People First Promise badge by the IPA, a proper pat on the back for putting our people first and backing it up with action. It’s a recognition for agencies that are serious about mental health and wellbeing, not just box-tickers or buzzword bandits.
At DC, our people are our greatest asset. So looking after our lot by prioritising mental wellbeing isn’t just something we talk about doing, it’s baked into the way we do things every day.
To get this badge, we had to show receipts. We had to prove how we’re making sure DCers feel supported, seen and set up to smash it – in work and in life. The submission detailed our actions across three commitments, here’s what we put forward:

Empower: We’ve built safe spaces and proper support networks, from our employee community groups to initiatives that actually make a difference (not just a bowl of fruit and a poster in the loo).

Prevent: We keep a close eye on how people are really doing. We ask, we listen and we act on what we hear.

Support: We make room for what people need. Whether it’s time, tools or tweaks, ensuring that everyone feels equipped to succeed
We’re not into fluffy promises. Everything we do is backed by goals, measures and a drive to keep getting better. This badge is by no means the finish line, but a checkpoint.
We know there’s more to do, and one of our next steps is launching wellbeing workshops to help shape what comes next, together.
